Separate eggs into yolks and clear. Mix yolks with flour, a pinch of salt and milk, wine or beer to a firm batter. Beat egg whites until semi-firm and fold in. Let the dough rest. Wash the flowers and fold them into the dough. Fry briefly in hot lard or oil. Lift out, drain and serve sprinkled with powdered sugar.
