For the chicken wings with maple syrup, first seed and finely chop the chili pepper. Clean the chicken wings if necessary.
Mix all ingredients for the marinade and marinate the wings for at least one hour. Turn over again and again.
Wash the chicken wings, pat dry and remove any feather remains. Pull apart lengthwise and skewer individually on wooden sticks. Leave lower end of skewers free to touch.
Before grilling, lift out of marinade, drain and grill for about 6 minutes on all sides. Meanwhile, keep brushing with marinade. Then mix the remaining marinade with the maple syrup and brush the wings with it. Let the chicken wings with maple syrup crisp up for another 2-4 minutes.
