For the herb bread, put flour in a suitable bowl. Fold in salt and the finely chopped kitchen herbs. Mix yeast with sugar and milk.
Add to the flour mixture together with the fat and beat well. Keep warm and let rise.
Knead gently while adding flour and shape into a loaf. Place in a greased baking pan and let rise repeatedly. Brush with egg yolk.
Bake at 175 to 220 °C for 40 to 50 minutes.
