A great cake recipe for any occasion:

While the stove is preheated to 200 °C, lay out the dough in the greased and semolina sprinkled give, sprinkle it thickly with hazelnuts. Cover it with the peeled rhubarb cut into one centimeter pieces. Bake this cake, still without the glaze, for a good 15 minutes.

In the meantime, whisk the remaining ingredients into a creamy, thick glaze, sweetened with sugar and enough cinnamon. With the icing, the cake will bake for about half an hour. A fork inserted into the cake should be met with resistance from a well-baked dough.

When cooled, this wonderfully tender-tasting cake stands absolutely firm thanks to the stabilizing curd glaze, even if it still has a long way to go to the picnic site.
