Boil milk with butter and salt lightly. Add flour and burn until the dough separates from the pot. Allow to cool and incorporate egg yolks one at a time. Stir in finely chopped meat and vegetables. Beat egg whites to snow and fold in. Season to taste. Butter a steamed pudding mold well, sprinkle with cheese and pour in mixture. Place mold in a saucepan, fill three quarters full with boiling water and cook, covered, in a hot oven for 1 hour. Turn out before serving.
