Cut the stale bread into small cubes and scald with the hot milk. Cover and let stand a little, then add the beaten eggs and curd cheese, chives and parsley. Add the finely chopped vegetables and mushrooms to the bread mixture and mix well. Form small meatballs (Pflanzerl) from this mixture and fry them on both sides in a little hot clarified butter in a frying pan until golden brown.
