Rinse the meat, dry it and season with salt, pepper and a good pinch (about 1 tsp.) of paprika. Heat the oil in a frying pan and fry the bacon cut into strips and the finely chopped onion until soft. Add the meat and brown on both sides. Add peeled garlic clove(s), 1 1/2 cups of water, gypsy sauce and spices and cook on medium heat in a closed frying pan for 30-35 minutes. Meanwhile, skin and dice beef tomatoes, clean and rinse peppers and cut into tender strips, as well as gherkins. Clean the mushrooms and cut them in half. Add everything 10 minutes before the end of the cooking time. Refine the sauce with sour whipped cream and season spicily. Cut the roast into slices and serve with the sauce. Serve with buttered rice and fresh lettuce.
