For Swiss potatoes, first peel the potatoes raw and cut into thin slices. Heat the milk and season with salt, pepper and nutmeg. Pre-cook the potatoes briefly in it (let the milk boil down as much as possible – be careful, it burns easily).
Add ham, cheese, crème fraîche and parsley. Bake Swiss potatoes in an ovenproof dish in a preheated oven at 180 °C for about 40 minutes.
