For pears, green beans and bacon, cut the smoked bacon into slices about 1/2 cm thick and boil in 500 ml water for about 15 minutes.

In the meantime, clean and wash the fresh green beans and break them into pieces about 4 cm long. Add the green beans with the savory to the bacon and simmer for another 15 minutes.

Then peel and wash the potatoes, cut them into cubes and cook them in boiling salted water.

Wash the pears, cut them in half, remove the core and mix them together with the cooked potato cubes to the green beans and simmer for a last time for 15 minutes.

Then arrange the pears on warmed plates. Mix a little cornstarch with water and add to thicken the sauce and bring to the boil briefly.

Season the pears, green beans and bacon with pepper and serve.
