Cut the cucumber into small pieces, add the hominy, the onions and the garlic cloves and fold the ingredients into the yogurt. Season the yogurt sauce with the spices listed above and sprinkle a little fresh, chopped mint over the raita, if desired.

Raita is served with meat and vegetable dishes and gives the food a very fresh taste.

Tip: Cook only with high-quality spices – they are the be-all and end-all in a good dish!
