For the onion pasta salad, cook the pasta in salted water until al dente according to the package instructions. Rinse with cold water and mix in a little olive oil to prevent the pasta from sticking together.

Wash tomatoes, cut into quarters, remove stalk and seeds. Cut the flesh into small cubes.

Peel onions and cut into small rings. Fry in olive oil until brown, season with lemon juice, vinegar, salt and pepper and add the cooked pasta. Stir well and cover with a lid for about 15 minutes.

Pluck the basil. Mix the onion noodles with oil, tomato cubes under the abundant basil and season with salt and pepper. Serve the onion pasta salad with Parma ham and grissini sticks lukewarm or cold.
