For the glazed donuts, prepare all the ingredients needed. Mix all ingredients into a smooth yeast dough. Let dough rise in a warm place for about 1 hour until doubled in volume.
Knead the dough well again by hand and then roll out to a thickness of about 2 cm. Cut out circles with a coffee cup.
From the circles, cut out a small circle in the center with a shot glass. Brush dough pieces with water and let rise again for about 30 minutes.
Deep fry the dough pieces in hot fat until golden brown. Drain on paper towels and glaze the donuts with maple syrup. Let the glazed donuts dry a bit.
