For the dried plums, wash the plums, cut them open on one side and take out the pit. They should still hold together with the skin on one long side.

Place them opened on the grids in the dehydrator and let them dry for 5 – 6 hours. Check again and again and take out already finished fruits, let the rest dry even more if necessary.

Fold up the dried plums again and put them into an airtight container after they have cooled down. Make sure that they are not underdried.

If the container/glass starts to tarnish, then there is still too much liquid in the plums. Check this and continue drying the unfinished ones or enjoy them immediately.

This is important, otherwise the fruit will begin to mold.
