Instructions:

For the fig cream, chop the dried figs, grind the almonds or nuts. Bring the milk to a boil with the sugar and the rum, dissolve the cornflour or custard powder in a little milk and then pour it into the boiling milk.

Let it boil for a short time and then take it off the stove and let it cool down. Stir in between, add the figs and nuts and when the mixture is cold, fold in the whipped cream.

The finished mixture may be nicely prepared in jars.
