Instructions:

Mix all dough ingredients with a hand mixer to a smooth, liquid dough. In the meantime, heat the shortening to 180 °C.

Fill a larger funnel with dough, which you then let run into the hot fat in a circular motion. (The dough, not the funnel!) In this way you should get a round cake with a hole. Bake until golden brown, turning once to the other side. Drain on a wire rack, place kitchen roll underneath! Serve sprinkled with powdered sugar or cinnamon sugar. Best served after a hearty potato soup!
