Remove the skin from the kiwis, mangos, pineapples, guavas and lychees and cut the flesh into cubes. Prick the washed kumquats a few times and cut the lime into fine slices. Mix all the fruits in a baking bowl with the sugar and leave to infuse for one night with the lid closed. Then fill in the jar and pour rum over it.
After 6 weeks you can open the lid for the first time.
If bubbles appear in your rum pot, either the heat was too high or possibly the rum was too weak. You can save the rum pot by pouring a glass of 90% alcohol from the pharmacy over the fruit. Now close repeatedly and put to cool.
