For the cabbage soup with debreziners, salt the cabbage, not too finely chopped, season with cumin, mix well and marinate for about 1 hour. Heat lard and fry onions in it. Add cabbage and sauté lightly. Add paprika powder and stir well.
Pour in soup and simmer on low heat for about 1 hour. Cut debreziner into small pieces and simmer briefly. Season to taste with salt and pepper.
Serve the soup in deep plates and garnish with some sour cream and chopped chives.
