Instructions:

1. clean the onions, cut diagonally about 5cm long pieces.

Heat the olive oil. Add onions, sugar and salt. Saute onions for three minutes until soft. Add stock and juice of one lemon and simmer gently for 5 minutes with lid on.

Rinse tomatoes, remove stalks. Add tomatoes to onions and cook for another 5 minutes at low temperature. Season with pepper.
