For the Barbie cake, separate eggs and whip the whites. Mix egg yolks with sugar and butter. Now stir in the sifted flour and baking powder.
Finally, fold in the beaten egg whites (don’t stir too much and don’t mix either). Pour the batter into a hemispherical baking pan and bake at 190 °C for 30-40 minutes.
Afterwards let it cool down. Now cut a small wedge for the Barbie’s feet from the cake and stick them in, so that the Barbie stands well and stable.
Roll out the pink fondant thinly and cut a long, wide strip for the skirt. Now fold this strip around the cake, starting at the waist level of Barbie, and fix it with a little water.
Now form the top from another strip of fondant and fix it again with water. Now you can decorate the dress with edible beads and butterflies cut out of the fondant.
