For the strawberry meringue pie, first separate the eggs. Beat the egg whites until stiff. Cream soft butter with yolks and powdered sugar.
Mix in the flour with the baking powder, then carefully fold in the snow. Pour the cake mixture into a greased springform pan. Bake in the oven at 180 °C top/bottom heat for about 40 minutes and let cool.
For the meringue, wash and halve the strawberries. Place strawberry halves on the base. Beat the egg whites with granulated sugar until stiff and spread on the strawberries. Bake in the oven at 200 °C top heat (or grill) for approx. 5 -7 minutes so that the meringue takes on a slight color.
Take out the strawberry meringue pie and let it cool.
