Melt the yeast in the lukewarm milk, put all the other ingredients in a large enough bowl. Slowly add the milk and knead the dough until it becomes malleable. Divide the quantity into three equal parts and roll into long strands. Braid these into a plait on a greased baking sheet. Place the baking sheet on the spot in the oven at 50 °C for 30 min. Next, bake for another 20 min. at 225 °C and cover the finished bread with icing and flaked almonds.
