Remove the skin from the onions and chop them. Rinse tomatoes, skin, remove seeds, finely dice. Mix meat with onion and tomato cubes. Season with salt, bell pepper and paprika. Grease fireproof dish well. Shape meat dough into a large dumpling and place in the center. Place butter flakes on top. Place in heated oven.

Baking time: 15 min. for pre-cooking, then cook for another 45 min. Electric oven: pre-cooking 200 °C , then 160 °C .

Gas stove: Pre-cooking level 4 or just under 1/2 large flame, then level 2 or just under a third large flame.

Use a toothpick to check if the roast is done. Quarter giant steak and garnish with parsley, egg slices, tomato quarters and onion rings.

Calories per person: About 425

Servings: French fries with horseradish butter and mixed green salad.

A cold Danish beer tastes great with this.

If you don’t have an ovenproof dish, a pie springform pan will do just as well. Place the finished giant steak on a flat plate and remove the edge of the mold.
