Can be baked well in stock, and so you then always have a little bit on hand when guests come. A very easy recipe that always succeeds and gives much better cheese cookies than you can buy.
The next day, roll out the dough on a floured surface to the thickness of a finger, cut out strips with a pastry cutter, or use small cookie cutters to make pretty cookies. Place on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
Brush with egg yolk whisked smooth with whipping cream and sprinkle with caraway seeds and/or poppy seeds. Bake at 180 °C for about 10 to 15 minutes.
Cool, keep in tin cans and bring to the table with an aperitif of any kind.
