For the Marzipantaler, sift flour with baking powder and knead with butter, powdered sugar, vanilla sugar, egg yolks and almonds to make a shortcrust pastry. Let the dough rest for 1/2 hour.
Roll out the dough and cut out approx. 4 cm diameter discs and bake at 180°C degrees. Let cookies cool and spread with jam.
Knead marzipan, sugar and rum, roll out and cut out discs the size of the cookies and press them onto the cookies.
Then heat the chocolate icing and dip one half of the cookie in chocolate icing and cover the marzipan cookies with half an almond.
