For the Kasknödel peel the onion, cut it into small pieces and steam it in the butter until soft.
Cut the cheese into small cubes and let it melt in the steamed onion, then add everything together to the white bread.
Stir the eggs with the milk and add to the dumpling bread together with the chives. Season with pepper and salt and mix well.
Add the flour and knead everything until the dough holds together. Form dumplings with wet hands.
Heat plenty of salted water in a large saucepan, place the dumplings in the simmering water and let sit for about 15 minutes.
Take them out, put them on plates and sprinkle with Parmesan cheese. Pour the browned butter over them and bring to the table with the chives.
