For the cranberry nut cake, first mix the flour with the sugar, salt and cranberries in a bowl. Then stir in the chopped walnuts.

Depending on your taste, add bitter almond oil. Half a bottle is recommended in any case. Stir the eggs into the batter, followed by the butter.

While the eggs are being stirred in, the dough will be rather lumpy. Once the melted butter is added, it becomes a little smoother, but it remains very sticky and is a firmer dough.

Grease a mold well with butter. Spread the batter into the pan with a pastry spatula and bake the cake in a preheated oven at 175 °C convection oven for about 40-45 minutes.

Test with chopsticks!
