For the cherry cobbler, cut the rolls into thin slices. Wash the cherries, remove the stems and pit them. Whisk the eggs with the milk, salt, cinnamon and brown sugar and pour over the sliced buns. Let stand for 10 minutes. Grease a closed dish with butter, mix the bread mixture and cherries and spread evenly in the dish. Cook in a steamer at 100°C for about 30 minutes. Before serving, sprinkle the cherry soufflé with a little powdered sugar.
