Peel and quarter the potatoes, cut about 4-5 cloves of garlic into fine slices, 1 (!) chili pepper into strips. Heat the olive oil in a pan and fry the potatoes with the garlic and chili, stirring constantly, so that the potatoes turn golden brown all around. Finely slice the remaining garlic cloves and thickly slice the remaining chili peppers. Remove the already sautéed garlic and chili pieces – as far as possible. Put the potatoes in an ovenproof dish, add some more olive oil and the freshly cut garlic and chili pepper slices and season with salt and pepper. Cook in the oven preheated to 180 °C for about 35 minutes.
