For the devil meat, finely chop the onion and fry in oil. Add the diced meat and fry everything.
When the meat has taken color, dust with flour and add all the spices. Add water so that everything is covered and let everything steam for about 40 minutes.
Finally, cut the pickled gherkins into slices or strips (according to taste) and pluck the anchovies into pieces and add them to the meat together with the capers.
The devil’s meat tastes very good with dumplings or with fresh pastries.
