Instructions:

Preheat the oven to 180 °C. Grease a baking dish with butter and sprinkle with approx. 3 tbsp. brown sugar.

Peel the bananas, cut them in half and slice them lengthwise into thin wedges. Immediately coat the banana wedges with lemon juice and toss in the remaining brown sugar.

Strain the cherries, reserving the juice.

For the glaze, mix cream cheese with about 5 tablespoons cherry juice (more or less to taste), whipped cream, sugar, vanilla sugar and eggs.

Cut the doughnuts into not too thin slices and layer them alternately with the banana slices in the prepared mold. Sprinkle the cherries on top and pour the glaze evenly over everything. Bake the casserole in the hot oven for about 40 minutes, covering with aluminum foil halfway through the baking time as needed.

Sprinkle with powdered sugar before serving.
