For the bacon soup with dried plums, put any piece of ham or a piece of smoked, well-marbled bacon in water the night before, wash it off the following morning, brush the pork rind and put it in a saucepan with cold water and let it boil for 3-4 hours.

After proper foaming, add a bunch of cabbage, which is removed after an hour. Add peas, roots, turnips, asparagus, etc. to the soup in any quantity.

After the soup is finished and the fat is skimmed off, add any kind of dumplings. The dried plums are either cooked in the soup, or they are cooked on the side and only added to the soup when serving.

The peeled potatoes are added to the soup with the cooked bacon or possibly ham, as well as vinegar. Serve the bacon soup with dried plums.
