Try this delicious cake recipe:

Put the butter in a saucepan, let it melt and then cool a tiny bit (it should still be liquid). Sift the flour and cornstarch together.

For the dough put sugar, marzipan, salt and the pulp of vanilla in a kettle form and add the eggs one by one. Later, put everything together on the water bath and heat to about 60 °C while whisking continuously. Remove from the water bath and whisk until cooled. Stir the liquid butter, cherry brandy, flour and baking powder into the marzipan mixture. Finally, fold in the cherries.

Grease the conical cake pan and line the bottom with parchment paper. Pour in the mixture and bake in a preheated oven at 200 °C (top and bottom heat) for about 60 minutes. (After baking, turn the cake out onto a wire rack, cool and remove the parchment paper.

Mix the liqueur sugar and kirsch and spread the mixture evenly on the surface of the cake with a brush.

For the cake surface, knead marzipan and confectioners’ sugar together and roll out to the size of the cake surface.

Brush cake surface with cherry jelly and cover with the rolled out marzipan. Melt and temper the couvertures on a water bath. Place the cake on a wire rack and cover with milk chocolate coating. Fill the dark chocolate into a small bag and pour it into the still hot milk chocolate.
