Instructions:

Spike the ham with the cloves and wrap tightly in aluminum foil. Bake in a heated oven (200 °C) for 20 minutes. In the meantime, beat the egg whites until stiff, stir in the cinnamon and sugar. Remove ham from foil, remove cloves. Put ham on a buttered ovenproof plate, coat with cinnamon mixture, sprinkle breadcrumbs thinly over it. Cut the pineapple into quarters, remove the stem from the middle, place the quarters next to the ham, place in the oven (175 °C), bake for 20 minutes. Take out, soak the pineapple with aquavit and bring to the table together with the ham.

Serve with mashed potatoes seasoned with mace.

Suitable drinks Aquavit and beer or a dry white wine.

Tip: It is best to use your favorite ham – then your dish tastes twice as good!
