For the Turkish beef, first dice the beef. Peel the potatoes and cut into three pieces. Fry beef in enough butter all around.

Peel onions and cut into rings. Clean and halve bean pods, quarter tomatoes. In a large ovenproof baking dish, alternate layers of beef, potatoes, bean pods and tomatoes. Season repeatedly with salt, pepper and marjoram.

Put the onion rings and garlic on top.

Cook for about 100 minutes in the oven at 200 °C with the lid off. Garnish the Turkish beef with sour cream, chives and halved cherry tomatoes.
