For the savoy cabbage stew, prepare the savoy cabbage (remove stems and ribs) and rinse very well. Then blanch hot (scald), remove.

Peel and chop the onions. Peel the potatoes and cut into cubes.

In a large saucepan, sauté the onion in a little oil and add the potatoes. Now add the savoy cabbage. Pour in soup until everything is covered.

Put the smoked loin, bacon and fresh pork belly on top, add half of the salt and let it cook. (Lard can be added, but does not have to).

When the meat is cooked, take it out, divide it and keep it warm.

The cabbage can now be mixed with the buckwheat, which should simmer for about 30 minutes. Then finally stir the stew with oatmeal until creamy.

Season to taste with salt and pepper. Before serving, warm the meat again in the savoy cabbage stew for 5-10 minutes before serving.
