For the fir honey, rinse the fir tips once with hot water, then rinse with cold water. Put on barely covered with water. Boil until the tips are almost colorless. Drain overnight over a gauze cloth. Weigh the resulting juice and mix with an equal amount of sugar. Bring to a boil and simmer until bubbly. Make a jelly test, it should be HONEY LIQUID. Pour the fir honey into screw jars and refrigerate.
